Should I get a better CPU?

----Specs----
Cpu- Ryzen 3 1300x
RAM- 2x4 2666mhz
Motherboard- ASrock AB350 atx
GPU- gtx 1060 (3gb)
Power supply- Seasonic 550

Why i'm considering this is because I play a lot of games like RTS and just lots of moving units and or AI, I notice some struggle during huge moments in games mentioned above, and the graphics may not even be stellar (one game in particular is Rusted Warfare which has old 8-bit graphics. But when things start to heat up it really starts to struggle. So I was wondering if maybe upgrading to something like a Ryzen 5 1600 be a good idea?

Best approach is to make sure your bios is up to date then if it supports the 2000 series pick up the Ryzen 2600 or 2700. You sort of specificed your motherboard but not the entire name. If you go to their site you can find out what they support from https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/AB350%20Pro4/#CPU as an example.

agreed, BIOS update first, 2600 or 2600X; the 8 core models do little to nothing for 99% of games/gaming currently...

I would monitor CPU usage before you play a game, to see your 'normal' usage percentage. Then monitor your CPU usage during the game, to see if it maxes out at anywhere near 100%. Don't just assume you need more CPU.
