Should I get a GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming or Asus Strix?

Hello,

I've been looking at these two cards a lot recently and I would really like to know your guy's opinions on these. I'm no expert when it comes to graphics cards.

If you guys could please answer me these questions, I would be super grateful:
-Which is coolest under load?
-Which will be easiest to overclock. I know that G1 has higher boost clock, but i am still unsure.

Also I saw that there are two different identical models of the Asus Strix 1070, but one has higher boost and base clock speeds. Are the cards different and will the cheaper, lower clock model OC just as easily?

I am currently running a GTX 970 G1 Gaming.

I don't know if you made up your mind just yet but I went for the Strix OC because of different things.

First the design: IMO only the Zotac Amp! (regular, not extreme) looks better (at least the part where the fans are), the backplate is the best looking one I've ever seen on any graphics card to date.

RGB lighting even on the logo that's on the backplate: g1's rbg is only on the side logo and fan stop text plus it has red lights that you can't change, I don't liked red+green color combo for my case (razer nzxt s340). RGB on the strix can be combined in more rigs.

Runs very cool, my s340 only has the 2 included 120mm fans and even then the max temp I've seen so far is 68°c (but most of the time it ran at 59° c). On the other hand Evra from Hardwarecanuncks said the g1 fans were not very efficient in the review of the 1080 g1 which uses the same cooling solution as the 1070 g1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilArkYmDYEI

Finally, I found the Asus cheaper in my country so that was a big plus. Other than that I think I might have gone for the zotac amp extreme, 5 years warranty is very attractive.

Asus is running a promotion when you purchase MOBO or GPU, just register and you'll have 1 more warranty year, so 4 years warranty instead of 3.

Really?, just registered my 1070 and it says 3 years, no promo mentioned at all, could you give me a link?, otherwise I can't believe you.

"ONLY FOR CLIENTS IN VIETNAM" What in the actual F?!, at least post something from this hemisphere... this promo doesn't even applies for 99.999% of the people on this forum so 3 years warranty still...
