Should I get another 970? Or upgrade to a 980/Ti?

As it currently stands, I'm running a triple monitor setup; two Dell D2015H at 1080 @ 60Hz, and a VG248QE at 1080p @ 144Hz. When I'm playing a game like CSGO, I have no trouble at all keeping it above 144fps. But when I'm playing more demanding games such as Sniper Elite 3, or Crysis 3, I'm having trouble keeping it at 144fps.

I'm currently running a single GTX 970 with an i5-4670k, and I was wondering if the jump to the 980/980 Ti would make this a lot better, or if an SLI setup would be better.

EDIT:
Specs are
Asus Z97I-Plus (I know i'd need to get a new mobo for SLI)
i5-4670k
Corsair H100i
16GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance Pro RAM
Corsair AX860
nVidia GTX 970

This isn't all that true..

980 Ti advantages are more VRAM, less noise, less heat, less FPS delays, no hassle with SLI profiles, and much less power consumption

970 SLI advantages are a bit cheaper price (I would still have to pay around 70-100€ in between to get 980 Ti), maybe a bit faster GPU in general (depending on the game engine, SLI optimizations, SLI)
