I currently have a gtx 660 windforce 2x, and I am thinking of sli-ing them. I have been thinking about doing this for a while but I am still unsure.

I currently have a 650w psu and a decent setup.

1) If I want to go sli-ing, would my psu support it?
2) Would there be a great gain from it?
3) Is there still microstuttering in games or has that been smoothed out with the gpu updates?
I may have more questions to ask, but I cannot think of any atm.

problem is unlike crossfire there is licensing fee (to nvidia) for motherboard maker to use SLI. that's why not all motherboard have support for SLI. you don't need certification for a single GPU to work on any motherboard. if you can wait AMD R 300 series might come out late Q2. nvidia new series probably a quarter after that

for me single 660 doesn't have enough performance even at 1600x900. good thing that i have 660SLI. with the new console game dev raise the bar. and for that reason i'm conflicting to move to 1080p or keep at 1600x900 even if i get new monitor. to me 970 seems perfect choice for 1600x900 res.

well i got spoiled when i go for 660SLI lol 😛

personally i prefer to play very high/ultra setting with constant 60FPS (with v-sync). with much more recent games that's become much harder with my 660SLI. good thing that i'm not really picky about AA. even FXAA is fine by me.

yeah, I like playing at very high/ultra settings, I prefer it. And since I can't sli I'll just go with amd in my next purchase.
gtx 660 can't always be at a constant 60 fps unfortunately which makes it hard for me to play.
Would it be a good idea for me to get a better psu for the upcoming amd cards?

depends on which card to get?
