Should i get rid of my GTX780 OC Edition for the new GTX 1080 or should I Duel SLI?

If i go duel SLI i have to buy a new motherboard aswell

is it worth the cost or should i just sell my GTX780 and go with the new GTX1080?

Sell. Plus you have to remember that sli 780 will eat a lot more power so you might have to upgrade your PSU as well. Better to stick to a single GPU.

for the money the 1070 is a better card. you get 90 percent of the power of the 1080 at about 200-300 less. with gpu vendors now dropping newer gpu 12-18 months apart it not worth buying the high high end.

Sell. The 3gb vram of the 780 is a limiting factor plus all the downsides of sli. I have a 780 and game at 1080p and have hit the 3gb a few times now which causes stuttering, no way would I buy another. I'm currently saving for a 1080 & 1440 g-sync monitor

what do you have? a single 1080p monitor? keep your card. you'll see no quantifiable improvement. if you're on 2 monitors or more you probably could see some improvement. though i highly doubt it will be worth $450
