I'm building my first gaming pc in a week. Together with a ryzen 5 1400 and 8gb of DDR4 ram (1080p 60fps gaming, high or ultra settings if possible on games like gta 5, rocket league) I could get MSI GeForce GTX 1060 ARMOR 6G V1. Another possibility would be Gigabyte GV-N1060IXOC-6GD. However, it only has 1 fan. I read some reviews on the internet (about the msi card) and they weren't that good. What do you think of the MSI card? I would like to get the less noisy one. And space in the case I want to get isn't a concern. I really can't afford a more expensive gpu so these are my only choices of the gpu. Also the MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6G OC and MSI GeForce GTX 1060 AERO ITX 6G OC are possibilities too. https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1060-ARMOR-6G-V1.html#hero-overview https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N1060IXOC-6GD#kf

only 10 euros

i did a small search and only found a couple of complaints about vrms too hot on the msi model, and wasn't many, so could be a bad batch of gpus with issues

tells a different story than the complaints, so, i don't see a reason to tell you is a bad gpu

perhaps lets wait and see if someone bought it and found problems or is happy with it

your plan b, the gigabyte, is smaller and heat might be an issue with it, but also, someone who has it might offer good information here

having said that, the msi looks good to me, and i like msi, they last alot
iirc they complained about heat and noise on the msi

the thing about asus, msi, gigabyte, is that they are all great, but for gpus, they are not excelent on normal models

evga usually is better there

same for amd, sapphire often is better than the big names

if the price is right and if the complains are nothing like fans stopped working or lots of dead gpus, usually complains are from people who likes to complain, if no weight on their complains, ignore them is what you can do

when buying a same model of gpu, trying to choose between two or 3 brands i weight price, size, fans, power requirements and noise

recently most gpus, even the cheap ones are very silent, is rare to hear someone complaing about this, but 2 fans often spin slower and do move more air

from those two the gigabyte is meant for itx builds, but surely as ou mention, having one fan, heat will be felt and gpu might trotle if heat is a problem in your case, if not, surely that one is a good option too

how are the prices?
