Let's see,

If both builds would've put against each other, where Intel is base and AMD is alternative, we'd get this:
Userbenchmark PC Build Comparison

Baseline Bench: Game 66%, Desk 77%, Work 50%
CPU: Intel Core i3-8100
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060-3GB
SSD: Crucial MX500 250GB
HDD: WD Blue 1TB (2012)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000 C16 2x8GB

Alternative Bench: Game 44%, Desk 83%, Work 74%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050-Ti
SSD: Crucial MX500 250GB
HDD: WD Blue 1TB (2012)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000 C16 2x8GB

With the conclusions of where Intel build is far better in gaming, while AMD build is better in web browsing and far better in video rendering.

Tough call, Intel build can do gaming with high/ultra settings @ 1080p with 60+ FPS while AMD build would do medium settings @ 1080p.
