I was looking around my local Fry's/Micro center and they have some good deals. I can get a FX 8320E with Asus 970 pro for 178.99. I can get a I3 6100 with H110m and 8GB DDR4. Or I can get a 4590 for $159. Obviously the i5 4590 seems like the better deal since I am on Haswell currently but I would like to change my motherboard and give it to my brother and my cpu im currently using.

My current setup-
CPU - Pentium G3258
MOBO - Gigabyte B85M-HD3
Ram - Hyper Fury X 8GB DDR3
HDD - WD BLACK
GPU - Gigabyte R9 380 4GB
PSU - EVGA 750 NEXB

I also have a H100i v2 because i got a good deal on it.

Solution
A big one, because the Pentium is dual core. The i3 is as well, but due to its HyperThreading, it registers as a 4 core in windows. GTA V and Fallout 4 among other games cannot run on dual cores like the Pentium, but will run at low/medium settings on an i3 due to the weird optimization issues. Honestly, I would just save up for an i5 6500. That extra 80 bucks between an i3 and an i5 makes a HUGE difference games, plus it boosts longevity. At the very least, an i5 6400 at 2.7GHz will beat an 8320E by quite a bit. Or perhaps an X4 860K like I have, as it will OC to 4.5 GHz pretty easily on an H100i. AMD's FM2+ chips are amazing budget contenders, and overclocked (like mine) they trade blows with the 6100 for the price of a G4400.
I would go Haswell, but if you can, wait it out and see what AMD Zen FX chips cost later this year. They are projected to be the same price as an skylake i5 with very similar performance but with double the cores. The 8320E isn't worth it, as the chip is very outdated.

If I were to upgrade to Skylake, How much performance difference is there between the i3 6100 and Pentium G4400? It is like half the price of the I3 6100

Thanks for the help. http://prntscr.com/btioia , not bad right?, I just need to get DDR4 ram now

if you upgrade your CPU+motherboard, you'll also have to invest in a new OS (a clean HD, wiped or new) since windows is tied to your motherboard. Upgrading to the new skylake platform is noticeably better (i experienced no lag and really fast load times comparing the difference between my i5-3570k versus my girlfriend's bday gift i5-6500 cpu on her pc). btw microcenter is the best retail store ever, hands down. i saved so much money on my pc in 2012 which i still use today :)

Most likely will get a SSD so i can keep all of my data on my primary hdd, And i agree with microcenter. A new i5 6500 cost $205 on amazon/newegg/etc, Im getting the i5 and a mobo for $217
