So I'm planning upgrading from i7 7700 to i7 10700k, my current cpu cooler is Cooler Master Hyper TX3i. Do i need to upgrade it or will it work for the i7 10700k?

I looked into the NHD15 and I was worried it wouldn't fit. I'm not sure if you could figure that out but I will be getting the Asus ROG Strix z490-A. Thanks for the reply!

I have the 10700K and as Zerk2012 has suggested a better cooler would be required. You cannot go wrong with the Mighty Noctua NH D15 but do not dismiss AIO's as well as they will do a great job especially if overclocking.. 240mm or 280mm will do more than a decent job and allow for decent overclocks to 5GHz. Running mine at 5.1GHz 24/7 at 1.295v though using a 360mm AIO..

Also the Noctua will fit on that motherboard as it will on all it is more about whether your case can fit it so double check height clearance and if you have tall RAM sticks, they might also pose a small issue...
