Hi, i have been thinking about upgrading my cpu from an Intel Pentium G3250 @ 3.20GHz to a i5 4670/90, but i'm not sure if it's worth it. is it?

My specs are:
mb
ASUS B85M-G
gpu
GeForce GTX 750

Solution
The MB will support those CPUs with a BIOS flash-don't for get to flash FIRST!
Should give some gaming improvements, and, of course, it'll run those games that demand a 4 core CPU currently denied to you by the dual core pentium.

Don't expect miracles, the GTX750 is a very low end card by current standards: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html but you should get playable gaming at HD rez if you keep the settings low/med.

Good news is that a upgraded GPU will really fly! And with the cryptocurrency boom largely over prices are returning to normality, even used parts have dropped in price significantly over the last couple of months so ( maybe, budget permitting ) you could drop an upgraded GPU in later and...
Absolutely yes it's worth it especially if you can get it at a decent price. I'd get whichever one is cheaper unless they are really close in price. If you can get the 4690 for just a few more dollars get it. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about the small difference in performance between the 4670 and 4690. Some games won't even run on a pentium while you can really run pretty much anything on a Core i5 quad core CPU. It won't be as fast as an i7 but that shouldn't matter as you will be mostly GPU bound anyway. The i5 will greatly help with game compatibility and performance.
