Hello fellow readers!
So I've recently been thinking about upgrading my PC rig buying a CPU or a GPU, the problem is that I'm having second thoughts about some of my choices.
One of my biggest concerns about my rig is my motherboard which supports the (lga 1155) socket, and I'm currently rocking a I7-3770 which is a CPU from 2012. but still holding on well if you consider that some of the new games recommend a I7-3770. and the problem with that is if I want to upgrade I'd have to buy a new motherboard as well. (like the 1151) and move towards an I5-6700
Now for my GPU I'm currently using a 970. my idea at first was to wait for the 1070's prices to go down here in Greece (Which will take a few years at least.) the positive thing is that I don't need a new motherboard for that and I thing it won't bottleneck that much with my CPU.
As for now I'm aiming towards a 144hz TN monitor (LG 24GM79G) that. or a RAM upgrade for Christmas. and then hopefully move on to the big upgrades, even though that won't be at least for the following 2 or 3 years, things may change so this thread won't be as helpful.
Thank you for reading the thread. if you were myself what would you upgrade first?
