So my system now is
I9- 10850k with rx 6800

Should i upgrade my i9-10850k to ryzen 7 7800x3d while keeping my rx 6800
Or keep my i9 10850k and upgrade my gpu to RTX 4070 ti super

Which benefit more based on perfomance gains?

Thankyou

Im assuming you meant 4070 ti Super. It's about 50% faster than 6800. If sold 6800 it would probably be worth upgrading. Your cpu is decent enough but depends what resolution you play in and if current cpu isn't capable of giving the graphics card your desired frame rate. Higher resolution you go, 1440p and up is less demanding on cpu than 1080p.

What resolution/refresh rate do you play in and what's your most taxing game you play that isn't fps limited?
I mostly played CPU dependant game such as dota2, valorant at 1440p 240hz

Maybe some single player game such as ghost of tsushima, elden ring

My biggest dilemma is if i want the biggest perfomance gains should i upgrade my CPU first or gpu first? Especially for competitive games such as dota 2 , valorant , lol at 1440p?

The reason i asked is if it's possible to lower resolution and details as much as possible so your current card outputs as many frames it can and if fps increases that means your cpu is capable of supplying a faster card. See what happens and monitor cpu usage.

Bare in mind though hz is going to be the limiting factor. So even if your cpu can target 240fps without maxing out then all it means is you know your cpu's fps cap and can raise details if a faster card is capable. More than 240fps is wasted frames.
