this is old news I missed 4 years ago

THQ Nordic, who already owned the rights to Titan Quest and who released the Anniversary edition, also own the rights to the Sacred Franchise. They currently working on Titan Quest 2.

Though that is all I have its good news considering the abomination that is Sacred 3. It is a glimmer of hope that we might one day get a better take on continuing saga, or maybe just remake Sacred 2 Gold for modern PC. I mean, the old version works but its 16 years old... mods and community patches modernise it a little.

I only get 300 FPS in Sacred 2 now
Fvxzm0Q.jpg

I can't play it now as I forget too much of it. Happily relearn if it was remade.

I like Hack n Slash games, but can't play with the top-down or isometric perspective. I prefer a third-person view for the player.

I think some of you guys might like "Path of Exile 2" as well. Grinding Gear Games released a brand new gameplay video for its upcoming action RPG.

The video focuses on the Witch class, and we get to see some of her skills and combat abilities. Path of Exile 2 will feature a massively improved engine for graphics and physics.

Game will have 19 new ascendancy classes. Path of Exile 2 is a new standalone game, with separate game balance, systems and future expansions.

There is no ETA, but Grinding Gear Games plans to release this game in late 2024.

It was meant to be this month so its been delayed?

I could never get into POE although I did try a few times. I will give this one a try at some stage.

Sacred and Titan Quest are both 3rd person view, they same as POE since theyall took inspiration from Diablo to start with.

Nope. Actually, there was no ETA on when this game will come out to begin with, as far as I'm aware. I don't think the developers ever confirmed that the game is releasing this month. Or did they ?

Its been showing as due out in July online for a few months but that could have just been an estimate. I hadn't really looked too hard, just search results.

Did Capcom just announce a remaster for the first Dead Rising game ? Seems so. Dead Rising first came out in 2006 and now almost twenty years later we are getting a remaster.

:D

But anyway, I'm not a huge fan of this series, but we can expect some higher 3D models for all characters, better textures, and other small improvements, just my guess. Or, maybe a better LOD system and better shadows. as well as new Ambient Occlusion effects, who knows.

There is currently no ETA on when Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will come out though.

Currently got hold of these FPS titles.

If you like fast-paced, run and gun shooters, then check these out. Though, problem with some "Roguelike" games is that they are highly repetitive and you can't save your progress that often, and you may have to begin the game from the start.

So this can sometimes get frustrating for some, including myself. But regardless, some of these shooters are great for having some fun ! 🤘🙂

These two are 'boomer shooters' ! We can easily replay levels here as the game saves the progress as well !

Apart from the above I have also been playing this Warhammer FPS, BOLTGUN. Pretty much addictive gameplay. (y)

News Flash ! Ubisoft is working on multiple Assassin’s Creed Remakes.

Yeah, you read that correct. In an unsurprising move Ubisoft’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, confirmed that the developers are working on multiple remakes of older Assassin’s Creed games.

There were rumors that the French company was working on a remake of the first Assassin’s Creed game. However, we can also assume that the team will remake Assassin’s Creed 2. After all, the Ezio trilogy was greatly successful.

https://news.ubisoft.com/en-us/arti...oming-portfolio-the-future-of-assassins-creed

As Yves Guillemot said:

“Firstly, players can be excited about some remakes, which will allow us to revisit some of the games we’ve created in the past and modernize them; there are worlds in some of our older Assassin’s Creed games that are still extremely rich. Secondly, to answer your question, there will be plenty of experience variety.

The goal is to have Assassin’s Creed games come out more regularly, but not for it to be the same experience every year. There are a lot of good things to come, including Assassin’s Creed Hexe, which we’ve announced, which is going to be a very different game from Assassin’s Creed Shadows. We’re going to surprise people, I think.”

Game now fully confirmed to come out on September 19th.

Capcom has launched the Steam store page for Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, revealing its official PC system requirements. Moreover, the Japanese company has confirmed that the game will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech on PC. Sucks, I know ! But we are dealing with Capcom here.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2527390/Dead_Rising_Deluxe_Remaster/

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will be powered by the RE Engine, and it will be a full graphical overhaul of the first game.

Capcom has remade/renewed all of the graphics, including the characters and environments. Character’s facial expressions, material textures, and blood spatter all now look much more realistic. Moreover, players can expect overwhelming hordes of zombies that will fill the screen.

It’s also worth noting that the gameplay of the original remains intact, but there are various quality-of-life improvements, such as auto-saving, revamped controls, improved UI, and many other details. The game is now also fully voiced for improved immersion.

This is what Nvidia's RTX Remix tool can really do to old PC games ! First off, we are dealing with a very old game here, "Nerf Arena Blast". It came out in 1999.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nerf_Arena_Blast

https://www.myabandonware.com/game/nerf-arena-blast-a3b

Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to buy this FPS shooter from any store, but we can download it from the above 'abandon ware' link. Let me get to the point of this post though.

A new RTX Remix Demo Mod for Nerf Arena Blast has been released. This mod will allow you to play the game’s Twister Arena Mode with RTX Remix Path Tracing effects. And in the end result is great, at least in my opinion !

For those unaware, RTX Remix is a tool that can add full Ray Tracing/Path Tracing effects to older titles.

In Nerf Arena Blast Twister Arena, almost every texture has been remastered, with a combination of AI upscaling, hand-painting, and PBR texture generation using Materialise. Since the mod uses PBR materials, it looks better than the first RTX Remix Mods that appeared online a couple of months ago.

Moreover, the mod adds Emissive Neon effects. Emissive textures are textures that give off light. In older games, this was faked by putting a separate light source near the texture. But with RTX Remix, modders can do it the modern way. Now, all the neon lights in the arena now give off light and volumetric effects.

You can also look forward to Parallax Occlusion Mapping.

This technique makes surfaces look more 3D-ish by using 'height maps'. It creates a realistic depth effect without needing to model everything in 3D. In this RTX remaster, the modder used this technique on many things like doors, neon strobe lights, and walls to make them look better and more detailed.

Finally, you will get some cool path-traced glass effects. The modder has replaced the game’s fake mirrors with realistically-simulated glass that reflects the world behind it.

You can download the MOD from this link.

See it in action !

I was replaying DOOM 3 recently, and stumbled upon this cool MOD. Check it out if you like to experiment with something new and challenging.

This mod is just awesome ! And I'm having a blast ! If you wanna play Doom 3 as a "Run-and-Gun" shooter, then this mod is for you.

Runner's Doom 3!

https://www.moddb.com/mods/runners-doom-3

Main Features :

Both BFG Edition and Original Edition (2004) are supported.
It also supports Resurrection of Evil and Lost Mission.
For BFG Edition, it is compatible with "Doom 3 BFG Hi Def"( Moddb.com ).

Simple and fast action :

You can move at more than twice the speed of vanilla. Switching weapons is almost instantaneous. There is no cumbersome reloading, of course.
You no longer have to wait idly for the enemy to spawn. The enemy completes spawning in an instant and quickly moves into combat.
Almost all the irritating obstacles found in some maps have been removed or changed. You can now focus on the things: defeating the enemy and advancing.

Random encounters at various locations :

This mod adds about 100-200 new spawn points to each Doom3 map. New enemies randomly placed at those spawn points will bring you the same terrifying experience as the first time you played Doom3. You can no longer predict what is behind the door.
Oh, you think the door you've been through is safe, don't you? Perhaps the enemy you defeated is back and waiting for you.

New enemy AI and new (but familiar) weapons :

Do you find it boring to play "catch-up" with Imps?

Imps on this mod will throw fireballs at you while simultaneously dodging, cornering you in the corner of the room and tearing you to pieces in a matter of seconds.
In this mod, the behavior of all enemies, including Imps, has been changed to be vicious. You will have to exercise your head and reflexes to counter them.
Of course, to fight vicious enemies, you need powerful weapons. At first glance, the weapons introduced in this mod may appear to be no different from previous weapons.

However, many of those weapons can fire powerful secondary shots.
You will be given a choice: fight as before or quickly eliminate the enemy in front of you, even if it means spending more ammunition.

Variety of enemies with "Roles"

Think you've had enough of Imps?

In this mod, most enemies (and Imps of course) are further divided into different types, each with its own "role".
They look exactly the same on the outside, but inside they are different. They will follow their "role" and each will try to hurt you in a completely different ways.
Tough Imps, Imps that repeatedly dodge, Imps that throw projectiles incessantly, and more.
You will come to make observations even on the appearance of a single Imp.

Below you can find a new WIP screenshot from a 2021 build of the upcoming next-gen BioShock game, BioShock 4.

The image below is from an early demo build of the game featured in a 2021 showcase reel, and you can see the “Parkside” codename in it.

The screenshot shows the player's weapon, the game’s WIP UI and some of the Plasmids. The shot is taken from a project codenamed “Parkside”. For those unaware, that’s the same codename used internally for BioShock 4.

This image has been shared by a 2K Visual Effects Artist, and for the sake of privacy, I'm refraining from linking their online profile/name here.

My only concern about this is their choice of using Kelly Gilmore as lead. Firaxis Games isn't exactly known for any titles that come close to Bioshock.
