I have a gtx 1060 6GB, and a 144hz monitor.

I have an issue with a certain game, fortnite to be exact. Before I start playing, I set my refresh rate to 144hz. Midgame, it starts freezing a lot for like 10 seconds. After 30 minutes of gaming, the rate of freezing subsides, but I still get them occasionally. I have my in-game settings set to low-medium. I`m going nuts, I mean, I have good hardware. Might it be from the network driver? All my drivers are updated.
On the same note, I set fortnite to high priority from the task manager, and I included the .exe in the Nvidia control panel. After the said adjustments, I still get freezes, but very little.
Is the problem from the graphics card not keeping up with the refresh rate?
I appreciate the help.

Your System Is More Than Enough To Play Fortnite I Suspect That Something In Your PC Is Thermal Throttling (Overheating). Download HWMonitor (Not HWMonitor Pro), Open It And Play Some Fortnite For About 20 Mins And Screenshot All The Max Temperatures And Upload Them.

I see. Okay, I'll do that as soon as I play fortnite again, and get back here.
Thanks!
