should i upgrade my i5 6500?

so i really want the i7 8700k cause my i5 6500 its struggling a lot recently ( my gpu is a gtx 1070),
but i dont know if i should wait until next year i mean the ryzen 3000 and the new 10nm intel architecture, is it worth to upgrade to the 8700k now? i dont want to wait the next gen but maybe its the right thing to do, what do you guys think?

The 1070 is usually a good 1440p choice. So as long as you are gaming at 1440p or less, I don't see why you need to wait. The 8700k isn't going to be too slow for games for a long time. New tech is always on the horizon, so how long are you willing to wait?

Trust me, i also waiting for the Ryzen 3000 Series. it must be good for 7nm CPU. Just read the rumours on some website about Ryzen 3000 Series, sometimes the rumours is right. Good Luck .
