[SOLVED] Should I upgrade my i7-6700?

I currently have an i7-6700, but am wondering if it's bottlenecking my system. Here are my full specs:

Intel i7-6700
Nvidia GTX 1080
16 GB DDR4 RAM
(I should also note that I use a 144Hz 1080p monitor)

My computer runs games perfectly fine but is slower at everything else (for example, loading up my computer takes a very long time, opening programs takes a while, etc.)

I am considering upgrading to an SSD, but is it worth upgrading my CPU as well? Or maybe my RAM?

I'm an extreme perfectionist when it comes to PC performance, so I would appreciate any advice.

It sounds like your main problem is just your hard drive speed.
An SSD will fix that. No need to do anything about your CPU.

A decent SSD would be a great idea to boost performance , Samsung or Crucial. I don't use HDD's anymore.
