Should I upgrade my memory?

My current build:
Ryzen 1700x
Asus Prime x370-Pro
GTX 1080
Team T-Force Night Hawk DDR-4 3000 (2x8GB) (Timing 16-18-18-38)

So, I've watched several videos and read articles on how for the Ryzen 1700x the sweet spot for the memory module is the 3200 with CAS Latency 14. Something like this on Newegg https://goo.gl/YxsCRZ

Should I sell the current memory kit and replace it with the better one? I mostly play games, edit videos, light photoshop and dabble in 3D animation. Would I see a significant increase in performance? Thanks.

Solution
Eventhough Ryzen platform does profit from faster RAM, I would actually not upgrade the RAM since the difference is not really big, especially going only from 3000 to 3200.
If you come from 2133, the story might be different.
I would ask you to go for a DDR4-3200MHz ram kit. Where are you located? I think you can see if you can return the kit to your seller, add a small amount to the price difference and pick up a DDR4-3200MHz ram kit from the seller themselves.

I'm in the US and I purchased the kit from Newegg about 2 months ago. I don't think they take returns after that long. Do they? I was actually thinking of unloading it on Ebay for say 30 percent less than I paid for it new.

You're probably right and I wouldn't bother if my current rig was an Intel. But according to many Ryzen users, they're very dependent on memory performance.

So, even considering CAS 14 vs. 16, you still don't think the difference would be big enough to warrant an upgrade?
