Question Should I upgrade my ram?

I currently have 2x8 DDR4 2133Mhz HyperX ram. My CPU is a 3700x. Been hearing that it isn't the ideal speed for my cpu, but is it really worth spending 100 bucks on upgrading to 3000Mhz+. Should I rather buy 16gb more?

Asus TUF gaming X570 - Plus Wi Fi
Samsung 860 EVO 1TB

I use it mainly for gaming. 10% of the time I do some video editing or have some fun in Unity.

Short answer is yes. Especially since your memory is 2133mhz. Here is a great article to show you the difference in ram with the 3000 series. Not unless your budget is big enough to where the price doesn't matter. So since price matters enough for you to ask about it, your probably better off with the 18.

I personally would go 16 because it's an investment and fast memory matters for the infinity fabric. Others will tell you that cas latency 16 and 18 only differ in a few FPS in gaming and wouldn't justify the cost difference and I can understand that.
