What's your budget?

As-is your system should handle most games at 4K/60hz at lower settings and if you do go 4K I'd pair it with a IPS or VA panel for better colors over your current TN as well as use a Freesync monitor as it can now be used with your 1080.

Rumors are stating that the Nvidia "super" is a better 2080 so it might be worth the wait.

Frankly I can't say I'd ever suggest 4k gaming to anyone. I mean you're talking big bucks in order to play at 4k at a high frame rate on any major titles. I expect it will be at least another 5 or 6 years before 4k gaming becomes affordable and by that I mean something that can be had for around $1500 hardware investment.
