Should i use both a hard drive and an ssd drive?

As the title says I'm just wondering if i should use an ssd and also have a 1 TB hard drive for back up or should i just stick to the ssd alone?

For what exactly?

If you don't have one of those 1TB SSD, then you probably have to store stuff somewhere, right?

Hard drives are for storage, the SSD is for OS and other programs.

I use a 1tb SSD only, depends on your preference
