Should there be lag in fortnite with my PC?
750ti
G3220
6GB ram
The lag is kind of lag spikes whenever stuff loads ingame, i have high FPS, but then every 2-3 seconds it lags when it loads stuff(buildings, trees etc.)
When i play in creative mode there is no lag at all, but when i get into a normal mode, thats where it begins

Yes, your cpu is quite old and only has 2 threads, which will cause lag when loading anything in most games. Your gpu is capable of playing fortnite, however you will want a 2 core 4 thread cpu to play fortnite, but your cpu only has 2 threads.
I would reccomend a cpu upgrade or new pc for playing any newer game.
What is your full system specs?

I am confused What is a G3220 in your build? I thought since another CPU wasn't mentioned you were saying this was your CPU:
Intel® Pentium® Processor G3220
https://ark.intel.com/content/www/u...entium-processor-g3220-3m-cache-3-00-ghz.html .
The asus h81m-plus would work with the Pentium but not with any FX CPU.
Can you run this and post the resulting link here? https://www.userbenchmark.com/
Now for what elses could cause this:
6GB of ram could cause this, so could a slow internet connection or hard drive.
What settings do you play at, and what is your CPU and GPU usage looking like during gameplay.
What speed is your internet, and what drive is fortnite installed on.
Make sure GPU and CPU temps are low.

Depends highly on the game, Rocket League, DOTA etc should be ok with a decent graphics card, but bit triple A titles will probably struggle.

And no it is not compatible with that motherboard. The cpu is socket 1151 and that motherboard is 1150. The highest CPU that motherboard will support is the i7-4790 or K variant which is a better CPU anyway (if your BIOS is updated to support it)

I've got a asus GTX 750 ti, and im currently running fortnite with 120fps+ but im getting lag spikes, because of the processor which is a intel pentium g3220... It lags every 2-3 seconds which drops the fps to 0-20 for a short period of time, could you please suggest a budget processor compatible with a 1150 socket

If you call anything below 60FPS struggling then yes ok but in general gaming on the g5400 will be fine except for a hand full of games that are way more demanding than they should be.
Yeah your right, I should have been more clear, I meant he should expect to play medium to high settings at 1080P with around 60fps.

As far as what CPU you should get, here http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Intel_(chipsets)/H81.html . I would try for a i5 or i7. You will have to look for a used one.

With any upgrade make sure to update your motherboard BIOS https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/H81MPLUS/HelpDesk_BIOS/ (if needed) to the latest version while you still have your current CPU installed

As I wrote in your other thread you really should look into the higher end of CPUs for your motherboard.
At least a Core i5-4670 or 4690.
Better still, Core i7-4770(K) or 4790(K). The 4770K sold in large quantities, so should be relatively easy to find used.

I agree 1050/1050Ti would do pretty good. A 1060 would also be decent if your system's psu can support it and find a deal on one.

Careful buying 750ti if from Ebay/Amazon, there are many fake cards out there (different weaker cards flashed to imitate the product), usually originating (not limited to) from China. 750Ti aren't the only cards affected so be careful buying 2nd hand.

Gpuz can sniff out fake cards if its on your mind wondering after purchase.

Nah, i've already got a legit Asus GTX 750ti, and im looking to upgrade my processor since it's really weak and old. Im just asking if let's say Fortnite will run at 60+fps at low/medium settings

Yeah, im planning on buying a better video card in the future but at the moment im getting 120fps with severe lag spikes every 2-3 seconds dropping to 0-20 fps because of my current processor.

Unlikely to be the processor causing lag spikes.

Whats the rest of your pc specs? Cpu and gpu aren't the only factors.

How much ram? are they in dual channel?

How fast is your hdd?

List entire specs in detail please.

6gb RAM(4GBx1 and 2GBx1)
Intel Pentium g3220
HDD 1TB
PSU 400 or 500w i don't exactly remember

Ohhh ok, sorry completely misread your previous post regarding an cpu upgrade. Looks like your other post mentioned above by Olle P revealed more details.

Really, any i5 in that generation will beat that processor and will help as multiplayer performance in Fortnite does rely on cpu more.

Id follow Olle's advice in your original thread.

Maybe good for very light gaming , I would reccomend a ryzen 5 2600 which in my country is around 150 , or cheaper a ryzen R3 1200 which in my country is around 70€. The Intel option is I3- 8100 but i fiind it too weak for 130€.

And compatible for your moterboard with a accesible price i would look probably for a Intel Core i5-4670.
