Hi there,

I've looked everywhere and didn't find an answer that could help.

The problem is: when I hit the "shut down" button, everything goes well and then, after the "Windows is logging off" screen goes black, my PC does not seem to turn off at all, coolers are still running although the keyboard lights do not answer anymore.

In safe mode: same problem.

When I try to reboot, no problem at all.

Any ideas on how to fix?

Thanks!

You said "Windows is logging off" when your trying to shut down? I'm pretty sure it says that when your logging off not shutdown. Is that what is actually says? If it does, then something is wrong with your windows? When did this start happening? Did you update your windows? Is your windows pirated? A lot of questions man. Most likely an OS issue if restart works fine. I'm pretty sure you logged off instead of shutting down. If you press shutdown and it logs off, try clicking log off to see what happens.

it happens a lot with asus and there bios it a known bios bug. it an easy fix most times. shut the pc off by the power supply and unplug it from the wall. let the mb drain for a bit then clear the cmos. if the pc still acts up reflash the bios from inside the mb with the newest bios twice to see if that fixes the issue.
