shuttering in bf4

hello, i want to know why i keep getting shuttering in bf4 i go from 60fps to like 10fps for a second, this is really getting on my nerve can u guys plz help, Thanks

processor: i5-4690k

graphics card: GTX 970 Windforce edition overclocked

motherboard: MSI Z97-Gaurd Pro motherboard

And did you overclock anything?

How much RAM do you have? I had 4gigs of DDR3 @1333 and had bad frame drops. i added in an extra 2 gigs of RAM and now it runs 60+ frames on 64 player servers even though my rig is old (clarkdale i5 & gtx550ti). Also make sure your drivers are up to date and your gpu has a sufficient power supplied to it (like @IAmTheTofu said). Hope this helps

Right Click the BF4 icon then>Properties>Compatibility choose windows 8.. hope you're using SSD.

Did you update your direct x and vcredist_x64 & x86 that is in your game directory? Heard this helps some users
