Hello,

I made a new PC build and while i was trying to make X.M.P run on my new motherboard i updated BIOS and go the X.M.P running. I didn't test then if the PC shuts down properly (only did the restarts and it did power down and started up again then). Now when i shutdown the windows it turns off, but the PC fans and RGB keeps going. I can only shut down them by holding PC power button.

My new build:
RADEON RX 5700 XT 8G GDDR6
Patriot VIPER RGB DDR4, DDR4, 16 GB,4133MHz cl19-21-21-21-41 - down clocked to 3733 cl18-19-19-19-39
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 8C/16T, 4.4 GHz, 36 MB, AM4, 65W
EVGA SuperNOVA 750 P2 750W, 80 PLUS Platinum
X570 Aorus Elite Motherboard AM4 4DDR4 HDMI/USB 3.1 running now the new BIOS
250 GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO
1TB HDD

Solution
Breadboard the system and see if your system powers down when asked to shut down. On another note, see if you can reflash the BIOS and leave X.M.P disabled. Then see if your system shutdown is affected. If all's successful, try manually inputting the timings and frequency in BIOS, save and exit and see if shut down is affected.
