Hey all, I'm having some serious problems with my ss51g and I'm hoping someone out there can help me. First off, the specs:

shuttle ss51g
p4 1.8a
kingmax ddr2700 256mb
leadtek winfast a250le td MyVivo 128mb
western digital wd400bb 40gb hdd
liteon ltd163d dvdrom
win2k pro

Ok so here goes, basically the system is completely unstable. When powered up, its a complete crapshoot as to where there is going to be any video signal received by my monitor. This happens for both the onboard video, as well as the agp card. Although the onboard is a little more reliable. If there is video, the signal is problematic, flickering, noise, text is garbled. The system seems to hang at will, sometimes even during post. I've run prime95 and sandra pro burn in wizard simulateously for 14+hours little problem. Stop the test, 20mins into watching a video, system hang. I've also run memtest86 for many hours (forget at this moment) as well. I've check all connections as well as reseated cpu. Using all the latest drivers etc.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, I've really exhausted my limited expertise (this is my first time building a computer). If there is any info I've left out please tell me.

Crossing fingers,

Yo M,

This most likely will not help..........try removing the XPC case/cover, my whole system runs 7C(both cpu & system temps) cooler doing just that alone............if you run a house fan directed at the video card, your temps will drop even lower. If you have a spare High/Quality Watt PSU lying around, you might try, disconnecting the Stock PSU & connectors & using the other PSU, unmounted to the case. Good Luck

Peace Out...................tg
