Silicon image 3112 problem

After installing SP3 the machine now crashes almost instantly and in error reporting states that the Silicon Image driver 3112 is at fault. Solutions please.

You'll need to tell me which MOBO you have, as Silicon Image does not directly support their chip products, or drivers, to the general public...
