Hello all,
I'm building a budget build (let's say about $390) for a friend who will literally only be playing the Sims 3 and 4 and general PC usage, like streaming TV etc. Just to clarify, this budget doesn't include the $260 I've put aside for a monitor and Windows license.
Would it be better to choose a CPU and older card or the new A10 and let the GPU handle it? For around my budget I can get:
1. A10-7700K & 8GB 1600 RAM
or
2. Athlon II X4 740 & GTX 470 & 4GB RAM
I'm not too familiar with these newer APU but should I assume that it will be capable of running the game on medium settings? She won't notice unless there's serious lag / FPS drops below 15-20 lol
Thanks in advance!
