Since the last Myst 3 post didn't work...

I had to take matters into my own hands. I got it.
I played for a few minutes last night. The graphics are really nice. But just like the first Myst, I'm stuck on an island and I have all kinds of strange machines that I don't know how to use but I'm sure they are important. I have not solved any puzzles, I'm not even sure if I have even found a puzzle yet. I will do some more exploring today.

To update you all on this game.
My opinion is that it kicks ass. But then I always did like the Myst games. The graphics just keep getting better. When you first start they are alright, but trust me, keep playing and the graphics get much much better. I'm playing with the 64MB Geforce2 Ultra.
The puzzles are kinda easy, but then again, if you made it through Myst and Riven without cheating, you know what to expect by now. I played last night for 3 hours and loved all of it. When you solve a puzzle, it just makes you hungry for more and you don't want to stop. I will play a little more tonight.
If any one is just starting out and needs a little help, post in this thread and I will try to give you clues without making it too easy or ruining the game.

I remember playing Mist all the way through with out cheating and THEN i got Riven! Do you know how hard that game is to beat if your 11? i made it about half way through and then i cheated.... i feel bad about it now and once i get my new pc running i think ill go back and play through both

I have it... Passed it in 5 days. It was pretty easy. The graphics were nice, I just wish that you could play the game in something other than 640x480...
(just a little sidenote here, the ending of the Amateria age is pretty sweet)

I like the game. Some of the nagivation on one of the islands is very poor. Hard to tell where the trails are. But at least I didn't have to play piano in this one or listen to whales. Lots of hours of play. If you don't like puzzle then this game is not for you.
I wish someone would write a game about the old text game the "Adventure" or "Cave Adventure" .

Nope, didn't cheat at all. It was simple. And it wasn't like I played it for 6 hours a day either. Just for 2 hours a day after work and before bed pretty much. I paid $60 CDN for it. Too bad I'm back at home again and am on the dial up connection; I would have downloaded it and not spent all that money to play it for 5 days. I mean, they could have added another few ages maybe, or made some more puzzles... they're all pretty much the same sort of ideas as riven and myst. At least they could have rendered all the images in something higher than 640x480. The graphics looked kinda crappy on my 19" monitor the first day, but I eventually got used to it. Oh well.

I saw it for free on some ftp site, but that's not legal I'm sure so I didn't download it, though if I had I would have this to say about it: Myst 1 was cool because it was pretty revolutionary in it's graphics. There was nothing else like it and the plot was ok too. Myst 2, not bad. Myst 3 I just feel like it's been done. The thrill has worn off.
