Single fast RAM stick or dual channel of slower RAM? For Ryzen build

I'm building a gaming PC based on Ryzen 5 processor. Right now I'm using a slow HyperX Fury 2666mhz 8gb ddr4. So should I sold the ram and get 8gb of fast ram or get another 8gb 2666mhz ram and make it dual channel?

I read somewhere that Ryzen prefers fast ram, however I also read that dual channel helps a lot. But for gaming which is better amongst the two?

Both increase ram bandwidth. As dual channel doubles it, vs a higher speed just adding a little more, the choice is easily dual channel.
