i am going to upgrade from my amd build to an intel one in september, so should i buy this build now or should i wait for kaby lake processors to release?

Get the 6500k, not 6500. Also, you should get 2x4gb to take advantage of Dual channel. Last, get a 250gb at minimum. Oh, why the old case? And that PSU...

If I were in your shoes, I'd wait for Kaby Lake, while keeping an eye on Zen news. Kaby Lake should release by the end of the year. But, I would buy the GTX 1070 now. Maybe even spring for the 1080 and just keep saving money.

wait on the gpu and cpu. with both the stocking level should be better after summer for the gpu from all the aib dropping new cards.

How many times am I going to say this, Kaby Lake is actually Skylake Refresh. No new wafer, slightly higher clocks and slightly lower prices, but a new chipset. No real point in waiting.

Here's a non-OC (CPU) build that will give you similar performance to a i7 but without a iGPU but it's not needed since you will have a dedicated GPU. I left out the case and PSU since you said you already have them and price is $2 more then your original build.

You had a 300R and went to 400R? not sure why. None the less,

Kaby Lake will be slight slight upgrade..not much. Wait for Zen? We have been waiting on AMD for 5 years....please wake up AMD. I too thought about waiting but haven't seen anything that makes me think they are gonna unveil a killer.

Indications are that Zen is more or less directly comparable to Broadwell. It'll be an awesome workstation/editing chip. But not worth waiting six months for a gamer.
