I wanna play skyrim special edition loaded with graphics mods, can i go cheap and get a 1060 and still maintain a above 50 fps average with enb? I could also go with a gtx 1070 but it would be a dumb idea financially because i will have to buy a new cpu and motherboard (i also want to play the witcher 3 on ultra)

Solution

In that case an 8600k + gtx1060 would be a massive upgrade and will run Skyrim ez.

What is your CPU right now? If it's i7 4xxx or newer your CPU is still very solid.

I maintain a constant 60fps at 1440p with a 1060 6gb and a 7700k, with 94 installed mods many of them are graphical. Skyrim SE is quite easy to run even with a ton of graphical mods, barring really performance heavy mods such as ENB's and what not or performance heavy ini tweaks such as increasing uGridsToLoad.
