Hi All,

Have had a look through some of the threads.

This issue has only recently started, it's got me stumped.

Dell
Windows 64
HP w1907v

Whenever we use the computer for more than ten minutes, or try and watch something via sky, or even a DVD, the monitor goes into sleep mode, the sound keeps playing, but it won't wake up even by mouse, or keyboard taps. Have to turn monitor off, then back on to bring about some life, then if you can get in a mouse click on a working icon in half a second, it will come back. However, if not, goes straight back to sleep.

Have rest monitor settings
Turned sleep mode off on monitor
Adjusted power settings in control panel to 'Performance'
Reseated graphics card and hoovered inside box.
Looks like all fans are working, I just can't see graphics fan when power on.
Tested it with work's laptop and the same issue is apparent.

Help?! Not gone as far as BIOS update yet, but is that going to do anything with the issue transferring from different computers?

Cheers in advance

Abi

If the same issue is happening with another computer, it's not on the PC.

Could be the backlight or inverter is failing on the monitor. Does it actually say "going to sleep mode" on the monitor or just goes dark? Does it have different inputs you can try also?
