Yes, each of those cards is going to consume about 170w. For a bit of headroom a 600w - 650w PSU is going to be the minimum that I reckon would be safe.
I'm not sure mouse he is in love with the caps lock. I saw him in another thread doing the same thing 😛 But yea I do agree with the both of you I personally would get either a TX750 or the XFX CORE 650 because you get 2x 6+2 connections, as well as 2 regular 6 connections so if you were to get a 670 that has a 6+2 and you wanted to sli it you could
Oh I knew you were shouting. And there are games where that happens with me sometimes. For example I believe in starcraft 2 I have things where I accidentally hit the caps button and it makes everything caps for a while 😛 I take it you are just going with what your keyboard has set on going with the flow man.
Looking over benchmarks and the like, it looks like SLI 680's pull 440w on their own. I know 670's and 680's aren't the same, but depending on how high I OC could a 650w run into trouble?
It's possible I guess. Most 650 watt power supplies don't come with 4 6 pin connections which leads me to believe that they weren't intended to. Although I could see them working just fine as long as it was a quality unit. The 680 to my knowledge uses a 6+2 connection as well as a 6 pin connection which means it uses a little more power but not much.
