What is a better setup for the specific use of Vray RT. 2-way SLI 780 ti OR 2-way SLI 980?

VRay RT takes advantage of CUDA cores and the 780 ti has significantly more, although the 980 has more ram etc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

look here:

and

http://www.nvidia.it/object/geforce-desktop-graphics-cards-it.html

those are furryball results, which uses Cuda cores a lot. (as vray rt)
Geforce 780 (or TI) is significantly faster (about 25% more), got 384 bit and 2880 cores for the TI (or 2304 for the normal one) BUT uses 250W, while Geforce 980 uses just 165W.
The 980 is clocked higher, but uses less cores (2048) and it is 256 bit, plus it got 4 Gb, more than the 780 basis....(there are 6Gb versions, but no more availability on stores...you could go for second-hand)

I'd go with 980...more efficient (less power consumption, so i hope less heat too)
