Sli bridge compatibilty

How do i know if my 2 gpu's are sli bridge compatible? One is a windforce 1070 8gb oc
The other is a,
Evga 1070 sc 8gb,
The bus width and bandwidth are both the same (256 bit & 256.3) memory are both 8gb, but the boost clock and core clocks are different. Will that matter? Mobo is sli compatible and running a i7 7700k with 16gb ram. Also can i just run a 2 way sli (from 1 sli slot on 1 card to 1 sli slot on the other) sry im new to sli bridge. Or do I need to bridge both slots? (Plz no ignorant down grading know it all answers, I'm not new to pc's or how harsh this community can b with slick answers) anyways thanks very much for the help in advance.

The SLI bridge that came with your motherboard should be compatible with the two 1070's. The bridge connects the two video cards together. Check the manual for the cards. Normally, the faster card will downclock to match the slower card in an SLI configuration. Now, whether or not the two cards will play nice with each other is an unknown. EVGA has a reputation for not playing well with other brands. It is one of those "Try and See" situations. YMMV

thank you very much for the fast reply, it seems to be working, i have gone up on fps (almost doubled on some games) but im a youtuber and i was hoping for faster renduring, it got a bit faster but not much, also when recording and gaming (not streaming) i was surprised to see loss of performance using obs, weird my fps didnt fluctuate but definetly got glitchy while only playing fortnite at ultra, i was sure both cards could handle obs and fortnite, now im worried about when i wanna stream, my pc should stream this game on ultra, i have 16gb ram i assumed that was enough. any ideas? this is the recomended requirements for fortnite to give you an idea CPU: Core i5 2.8 Ghz

RAM: 8 GB
OS: Windows 7/8/10 64-bit
VIDEO CARD: Nvidia GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870 equivalent DX11 GPU

Here we get into the vagueries of SLI. Not all games support SLI. In fact, I've heard that there are some games that have even worse performance after SLI. As far as streaming goes, that will be limited by the CPU, not the GPU.
