SLI... Have you being fooled???

Hum...according to that <A HREF="http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NzEx" target="_new">link at Hocp</A>, only games specially coded in nvidia drivers can get improvement with SLI. So, let say you mainly play NFS underground2 on your SLI machine, guess what? no improvemennt.

Here goes your pretty money.

I do have a SLI comp and yes you are right. It depenst on what you are playing.

They are our, fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, friends, neighbors. They are OUR TROOPS! Please support them.

SLI just came out. Don't expect all games to work with it right away. Once it becomes mainsteam, I'm sure there will be more support for it

I hope..but when they be mainstream with lot of support, then they will be half priced and fully functionnal, instead of being full priced and a fourth (I'm generous here...) functionnal!!!

So this is just wasted money for now!!!

What's the point?? are you kidding? You dont mind paying full price for a mobo now to have half the performance rather to wait for the thing to mature and have proper support and buy it for half of the price with full performance???

I'm old enough to value my money much more that theorical performance...

Voodoo2 leaves us with the question if it will ever be mainstream. I think more powerfull GPUs will be the answer, not extra gpu's. That'll remain enthusiast only.

Common man..you're just so disapointed that your wet dream game machine is just that ...a dream! I know that maybe professionnal user need SLI. but how many peoples that posted here about SLI are only professionnal that do not game??? What SLI's all about in the forum if it is not game?? gamer's dream machine always include SLI motherboard with dual 6800 or 6600. I guess that they are just professionnal that are doing "SLI needed here" stuff and just happen to game with their dream professionnal system!!!

This is just information to peoples that want to upgrade their computer to wait if they could because, right now, SLI is less than usefull. So maybe this thread is pointless to you, because you feel mad at you for not finding it first or you're just so disapointed..just like if you've just learnt that the girl you were masturbating for is actually a man.

So, if this is pointless information for you, there is a lot of other threads over here that may sound good to you so just leave that thread, I wont come back at you again.

Hey. I had a Voodoo2 SLI rig back in the day. (HEHE, it was a little different then my current SLI rig though) As a matter of fact I still have my 2 Voodoo2 cards on the shelf. Do you want to buy them ... lol. I must have more $$$ then brains and I dont have alot of $$$. I will try and look also to see anything about VooDoo2 SLI being mainstream.
