sli with zotac gtx 980 amp omega with gtx 980 SC ACX 2.0

I tried to sli these cards but to no avail I would like to hear if anyone has any ideas about how I can sli these two cards.
I have tried changing out the bridge and it still doesn't work the option in the nvidia control panel still says to maximize 3d performance connect the sli ready graphics cards with an sli connector.

My computer is as follows
intel i5 4690k@ 3.5 ghz
zotac gtx 980 amp omega
evga gtx 980 SC ACX 2.0
motherboard ASUS Z97-PRO(Wi-Fi ac) LGA 1150 Intel
16gb memory

Have you tried both sli connectors individually, have you tried using 2 bridges?

ive tried using two bridges and each one individually but to no avail

Use ddu to wipe the current driver, restart and install the latest nvidia driver.

About all that's left is a faulty card not reading the bridge. Can you test the cards in another sli capable system?

maybe, ill have to try to find somebody else who has a 980 to find out

so after looking online for awhile and talking with evga and zotac they say the cards bios's just aren't compatible.

Odd I have never ran into many problems sling cards from different manufactures when they used the same gpu and vram.
