Hi,
I'm currently building a new system that will likely be based around Gigabyte 965P-DS3P and E4300. I plan on overclocking (with a Tuniq Tower 120 I already own).
So my question is to do with RAM and their 'speed.' Am I right in thinking since the E4300 has a lower FSB and higher multiplier I can get away with 667MHz RAM? instead of 800MHz needed for E6300 and above?
Also, overclockers.co.uk have a sale on GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency RAM and it has become just a tiny bit more expensive than similar 667MHz models. So is it worth going for the 800MHz since they're so cheap with the sale? ... If I did do this would it mean having to set strange FSB to RAM ratio's?
Or would my life be a whole lot easier with 667MHz RAM and standard 1:1?
Thanks for your time, much appreciated!
