Hey!
I replaced my cpu from ryzen 5700g to 5900x, and when I got my pc back from the shop I noticed the pump is a bit twisted and the clamp sits a bit to the right side, temps are around 32 most of the time but spiking over 60 idle and back every once in a while.
The technitianin the shop say it's because the new cpu sits on a different socket and its not exactly straight, but maybe he was B.Sing me? Cause from what I know they are both am4.
Any ideas? Is it safe to loosen the clamp screws and move it? (Never done it) or maybe the whole thing needs to be re-installed with some fresh paste?
Thanks

Solution
So both cpus have 1331 pins and use the same socket. It does look like it is leaning a little to the left. If it is not flush against the cpu you will have temp fluctuations. If you start to move it around you may scrape the thermal paste off of the surfaces. I would remove the cooling plate/pump, clean the cpu and cooling plate with alcohol pad and reapply thermal paste. Then ensure the plate is flush on the cpu and the pump is straight as possible for best cpu coverage.
Can you post a picture of it?

Also did you change motherboards, and what motherboard and pump are we talking about?

Did not change my mobo( msi mpg x570 gaming plus), my aio is corsair h100i xt pro

thanks!
