Slow Fan Down

I have the Swiftech MCX462 heatsink and it is noisy; how can I slow the fan down easily.

if u slow the fan down u lower the amount of air going over ur cpu which leads to higher temps. but if u really want to slow it down u can put a resistor on the power wire. youll have to experiment to find the right resistance though. personally i would just deal with the noise or put some kind of insulation around the inside of the case to absorb some of the noise.
