Question What does overclocking the infinity fabric do?

Hi guys me again, i been having a lot of fun tuning the 9800x3d. I managed a stable 2133 on the fabric with tuned 6000mhz cl28 memory but my 3D mark CPU score stayed the same......what does making the fabric faster do? Increase fps? Increase smoothness / responsiveness? I know enough to know that faster is better....i think.
