Slow playing of games

Hi..just brought a e machines 3500+ with 1GB memory and a g force 6100....all my games are running slow 10 fps and also online games are running 10 fps....Am I doing something wrong? same internet connection...or did I just get a bad machine....can I set my video card? Set my display? Even my cod2 is running 10 fps...I am a noob I dont know what to do....help....thanks

I really enjoy online games...COD2...On a budget what kind can I get for...70 to 100 dollars...Buying this machine set me back a little...Is it a half way decent machine? It's a decent machine, but it's not for gaming. You'll need a good video card for that. Sadly a good card doesn't sell for $70-100. You'll probably need to fork out $150-200. Look around at some sites like newegg or tigerdirect and then check the VGA charts on Toms to see what performance to expect.

Never listen to Best Buy, they are just cash vampires trying to suck all the money outta you. Ask people here and they can tell you whats good or not. I asked a Best Buy representative which ones better (as a test), a 3.4ghz Celeron D, or a 2.0 Ghz AMD 64 3200+. He said the Celeron D, just because of the higher clock :roll: ... Another one said a 6600 was better than the 850XT by a wide margin, not 6600GT, but just 6600 =P. I near slapped the guy in the face when he tried to get me to believe that.
