Hello I recently obtained my optiplex 790 which has a considerably better specs than my old laptop as for one it does not have a 1.6ghz mobile celeron and now has
Core i3 2100
4gb Ram
Amd Radeon 5450
unknown seagate 250gb hard drive
It runs older games fine and browses the web etc fine but whenever it comes to do with anything to do with the file system it mainly gives me a spinning wheel and takes 2-10 seconds to load such as right clicking a file or opening windows explorer within uTorrent to choose my download location. I think this is because of my hard drive which I was going to upgrade to a 2tb anyway
is there anything else I can do to fix this in the meantime as it is rather iratating. At the same time as my hard drive upgrade I will also be upgrading the ram, PSU, Case and graphics card if that makes any difference.
Thank you.
On a side note not too important but if you know please do tell.
My graphics card will be a r9 290 and I can see that it will be bottlenecked by my i3 but I was just curious to know what kinds of games I can play with that setup so that I know whether I need to immediately start saving for a newer generation/quad-core cpu
