Slow Verizon dsl internet.

I called verizon to see if they can speed up my internet speed they said they can increase the speed on the account but it will make it go slower cause they said my line rated to at 2.5mbps which i am getting. I wonder if there is any truth behind that. I dont get any other internet providers verizon dsl is the only one that service the area.

DSL has a limited length the cable can be. The further you are the lower speeds you will get and there is nothing they can do.

its probably true if you are in a rural area

With DSL, the farther you are away, the lower the max potential speed will be. There is no magic bullet to circumvent physics.
