Slow Windows loading, brand new computer

Fresh install of windows, just formated and all that good stuff. Pretty much when I get to the windows loading area, it takes about 5min to load windows. I know this cant be right since my old POS with a BFG 6600gt takes about 20 sec. ANY help plzzzzzzzzzzz this im about ready to punch my computer! haha.

i didn't found any solution other than reinstalling win.....

Try running Eusing Registry Cleaner and CClean in Safe Mode and defrag. Also check in msconfig and see what you can stop from starting up

Also search about stopping unnecessary windows services (run:services.msc) and stop some items you don't need from loading. There are tons of services that take up time that you won't need.

Also go into BIOS and switch the boot order to HD 1st, CD ROM 2nd.

If you have a way to do it, such as a DVM, I would also check the stability of the power supply. Raidmax is not known for qualit. You could also go into BIOS and watch the voltage there to see if it fluctuates a lot.

A flaky power supply can cause a computer to do strange things.

is you hdd master alone? Is the jumper removed as per label recommendation for master drive?

I just finished a clean install of Windows XP after a BAD virus attack and before I installed my NVidia, X-Fi drivers Windows loaded much faster. After I installed my NVidia/X-Fi drivers it loaded a bit slower which is normal.

To fix this problem you should go to start run:msconfig then in this window you should go to BOOT.INI and unclick pretty much everything to do with any program you use on your computer because this gives a longer time to load and as well other things but make shure you know what your clicking on( if you dont know search them on google) because if you get rid of some things your computer wont start correctly. As well you can try the BIOS setting with HDD first and CD/DVD second. As well make shure when you start your computer there is no disk or somthing like that in your computer as well because that will slow the start time too.
