Hi,
Since recently I have a new pc and a new monitor. I got my new monitor first and used it for my old(ish) gaming pc. No problems there. Then I got my new parts, started building and miraculously everything works great. Everything except one thing. I noticed that after I turn on my PC, my monitor has the slightest amount of static (is that what you would call this?) in the form of small horizontal lines. I can remove these by turning my monitor off and on again or disconnecting the displayport cable and reconnecting it (what I'm doing in the video). Also, when my monitor goes black to prevent burn in, and it turns back on it's also gone. The static does not return, except for when I turn my pc off and on again. My guess it has something to do with the supply of power, but it is purely a guess.
I have bought a better quality displayport cable but it did not change anything. Any ideas for a fix?
I also would like to note that the only thing in my pc that is not new is my PSU. It's the same one I used for my old pc). It is a bit old but my guess was that my new pc still stays within a safe range. No other problems with it, but maybe that's the culprit?
btw. I found out the power outlet I use for my pc and monitor is not grounded and I'm looking into having that fixed. Maybe that has something to do with it? Maybe not :/
Example of problem with tempo. fix
MOBO: MSI MPG Z690 EDGE WIFI
CPU: Intel® Core i9-13900K
GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 4070 GAMING X SLIM
PSU: Corsair RM850 (EU-model) (CP-9020056-EU)
Monitor: LG UltraGear OLED 27GR95QE-B 27 inch
