as the title says i need help.

my mobo is a lga 1366 and as i can see, nobody runs with them no more, so i really want to be up to date. i just don´t know what motherboard i want to go for. since a long time ago there where only lga 1366 2011, and other small series. now i can see there is skylake and other mobos out there making me unexperienced in hardware where i knowed alot in the past.

i prefer ASUS.
the pc should be able to
run both gaming and work

i don´t have alot of money but as i can see
you can get popular ASUS mobos for 200$ and up

i want to re use these hardware from my old pc
i have a Corsair HX 850 PSU
A ATI Radeon GPU 7 series
A cooler master V8 fan old gen
my ram is Corsair Dominator 24gb 6x4gb 1333mhz

another thing that bothers me is i have a ball bearing somewhere that makes the pc go loud when i am starting it up. dunno know which fan it is, but ill hopefully figure that out when i change the tower 🙂

Regards David

You want more than 4 RAM slots? Won't be an 1150 chipset and about 2x or more the price...

Thank you very much for your help. do the last gen 1150 only exist with 4 ram slots ?. lets say i had a limitless budget, what would you go for ? :)

If there's no budget then just get a whole new system:
