[SOLVED] Smart plug to turn on pc remote

Solution
Hi,

I just discovered that I can use a smartplug to turn on my pc while I am away via wifi.
I found this one https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Tapo-Accessory-P100-Timetables-Required/dp/B07Z5JD3T4/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=wemo+smart+stecker&qid=1653056098&sprefix=wemo+sma,aps,112&sr=8-7&th=1

My motherboard is this : https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/PRIME/PRIME-X570-P/

Will the above setup work?
thanks a lot
The issue is if you can cleanly get it to shutdown remotely. Turning ON a PC has no risk, but turning OFF a PC has to be done in a controlled way before you turn off the power.

You also have to make sure in the UEFI settings to set the PC to turn on when it receives AC power. Otherwise it'll remain off.

I'm curious though as to why you want to turn the computer on remotely.
Could be a NAS or some kind of server to access remotely, if that's the case then remote desktop allows you to turn it off safely once you're done.
