Discussion Smart washing machine with Raspberry Pi

I recently thought about a smart washing machine project, using Raspberry Pi to complete it, and I now design the UI interface.

You should also have a fabric softener dispenser check box, a soak setting, and the water temp should be "cold, cool, neutral, warm, hot", IMO. By degree granularity doesn't make sense.

Having this UI is one thing.
The much harder part is integrating this with the hundreds of actual washing machine models, that don't already come with such a function.

Thanks for your reply, I may just want to use something simple instead of these functions at this stage, such as servos, LEDs, fans, etc.

You have a good point, if I have the intention of commercialization in the future I will then make it more refined, but for now I'll take it as my own fun and use some simple components to achieve these functions.

Yes, of course I did, I made a lot of UI interfaces by STONE Designer, this is just one of them.

This is a significant challenge, unless washing machines/dryers have an open, industry standard interface. I can't imagine that this exists.
