lol and thats the problem, i really dont want to take the mobo out, i have everything istalled, everything. just need to get the heatsink on the cpu and start installing windows

even when using stock hsf it's wise to take your motherboard out. perhaps you should learn from your lesson when everything not run so well when you apply your term which was applying the scythe hsf without taking out the motherboard outside the cassis and the system won't run well.

you can't be helped here as if others help you out but you still insist to do things the way you want it to be done.

good luck!

I would have put the heatsink on and everything out of the case if I actually had the chance. But the CPU was the last part I ordered. I had plans on building a computer for over 3 years, so I think i deserve to be able to do it my way without being bitched at about it. its all a matter of opinion about puting the heatsink on before or after. it doesnt really have a big impact.

After reading this, I really have to wonder what kind of impact your falling HS had on the rest of the system...the MB, the video card, the messed up HD, anything with easily damaged electronic parts...

a big one?

I wil say im sorry now cuz im going to catch some flack for this but when it comes to computers this dude is DUMB. ok like i said sorry i couldnt hold that back. LISTEN to these people they know what they are talking about. One time i forgot to put hte heatsink on man did that cause problems while pressing in hte heatsink like i knew i shouldnt but i was impatient like you i unseated alot of stuff and it took me a day to figure out everything was loose (not sure why i knew it wasnt a good idea to install a heatsink while hte motherboard was mounted) A cpu can fry in almost a split second it doesnt take long (not saying thats your problem wholy or at all) This isnt thier opinion this is just how it is they arent (werent) bashing on you until you threw thier help in thier face basicly how i took it "i know what im doing i dont need your help" kinda thing. I kinda doubt you read the manual but then again i dont know maybe you didnt understand it or were to lazy as you put it to care i dunno. As i know putting the computer together out side the case is the best way to do it i never do that and alot of times i regret it (im lazy to :-/ ) seriously you obviously dont have a clue how to put a computer together so please for hte love of hardware listen to these people!
